The Mid-Valley Bicycle Club is a non-profit cycling club centered in Corvallis, Oregon. The club was founded in 1974, and is open to cyclists of all ages and abilities.
The club hosts weekly rides, multi-day tours, and our annual Covered Bridge Bicycle Tour.
We are also involved with many Safety and Education programs in conjunction with the Corvallis School District to teach Bike Ed to 5th graders throughout the school district.
Our safety equipment program has put over 3000 helmets on riders' heads over the years.
Our Advocacy team is supporting conversations with local government at the City, County and State levels to encourage adoption of bike infrastructure standards that keep all road users safer.
Please consider joining the MVBC. You can read about some of the benefits of membership, and will find sign-up instructions at the membership page.
Mid-Valley Bicycle Club is the parent organization behind the Covered Bridge Bicycle Tour held the second Sunday of August.
All proceeds from MVBC events go towards funding bicycle education programs in the Corvallis and Albany school districts. Our bicycle helmet program provides free helmets for kids at many local events. MVBC also works with our city, county, and state agencies to help assure safe riding conditions on all of our roads and bike paths.
MVBC publishes a bi-monthly newsletter we call The Mid-Valley Spin. We also have an extensive archive of our old newsletter, The Mid-Valley Spokesman.

MVBC has monthly meetings each month from January - May. We generally take the summer off because we're too busy riding and touring. Our meetings are open to the public. We have interesting guests at each meeting presenting on a wide variety of topics of interest to club members.
Monthly meetings used to be held in person but since the pandemic we have been holding virtual meetings. Meetings are announced on our MVBC-Announce mailing list. We have recordings of recent online meetings available for you to view.
The MVBC Board also meets monthly and our meeting minutes are available so you can see what we're working on.
MVBC is a nonprofit 501(c)(4) organization (see our 2001 IRS approval and EIN assignment). The club's primary purpose is to "promote general interest in cycling relative to bicycle education, safety, transportation and recreation."
Our net proceeds are dedicated to bicycle education and safety programs and to related aims, as described in our club Bylaws (bylaws.mvbc.com).
Our Board of Directors meet regularly and their notes are published at minutes.mvbc.com (for board records earlier than 2009 see our newsletter print archive). Other club records may be found at archive.mvbc.com.
